Welcome to St Mary's Catholic School, Bowen, a vibrant and faith-filled learning community proudly serving families as part of Townsville Catholic Education.

Nestled in the beautiful beachside town of Bowen in North Queensland, St Mary's is a welcoming Prep to Year 6 school where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish. Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the rich traditions of Catholic education, we are committed to nurturing each student's spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth.

At St Mary's, we believe that education is most successful when families and schools work together in partnership. We deeply value the role of parents and caregivers as the primary educators of their children and see it as a privilege to walk alongside families in their child's learning journey. Students at St Mary's enjoy a rich range of learning opportunities, including specialist programs in physical education, arts and technology, as well as swimming and student leadership programs that encourage personal growth and active participation in school life.

We are proud to support children and families from their earliest years through our weekly Playgroup and our annual Transition to Prep Program, which helps prepare students for a confident and successful start to school.
